Recs for a tougher substitue for a yoga mat?

I have hard wood floors, so I use my yoga mat for a lot of workouts, but it's getting shredded from my sneakers catching on it when I do mountain climbers, etc. I've tried not using a mat, but my shoes slip on the floor and I can't do Insanity barefoot, so I'm looking for any suggestions of something else I can use to keep my feet from slipping besides another mat which will wind up in the same condition.

Any help would be appreciated!

Check out a sporty store (Play It Again Fitness, Sports Authority, etc) and see if you can find a mat. I think they're gymnastics mats.. they're usually like an inch or two thick. At a yoga/pilates hybrid class I took a couple years ago, we used those (but put my yoga mat on top). I'm sure they're a lot more durable than yoga mats. I need a new yoga mat, because the $10 The Firm one I got at Ross is starting to come apart. I saw another one at Ross that was 2-3 times thick for $15, hope it's still there.
