getting the scale to move???

Hi all,
I have committed to making lifestyle changes and losing this extra weight i have gained over the past 10 years....i know i won't lose it over night....i have been good, really good - doing all the things they say you should do, almost daily exercise (walking, walk/jog intervals, eliptical, etc for at least 40+mins), im logging all my food and staying within my calorie range, I'm even drinking way more water (about 60oz daily). I have been at this for almost 3-4 weeks and I've only seen a small reward on the scale...down about 3-4# . I just don't understand why the scale isn't moving more for me? did anyone else not see the scale move for a few weeks after they got started?
Any help or comments are welcome - i'm starting to get frustrated and i'm not giving up!

Ur right on point. U should be loosing 1-2 lbs per week. The race dosent go to the swift nor to the strong but to the one who endures!0

You might have hit a plateau, I know for me that a lot of the time when I'm doing everything right the number on the scale simply refuses to budge! It's pretty frustrating tbh. Just keep working through it! Maybe lower your intake a little more and increase your exercise, and you'll see results0

I know for me sometimes it's the type of food that I am eating. Also yes give yourself some grace. The scale hasn't move much for me recently, but I am seeing great changes in my body. If you want I can take a look at your food diary and see if there are some changes you can make. Let me know0

You could be retaining water, especially since you are drinking more. This just happened to my wife. 5-6 weeks of consistency and then the scale started moving. just be patient and stick with it, if the scale isn't moving you are still making life changes. Also measure yourself weekly, that will be more friendly0 -

It's never to late to start measuring, you will notice a difference in certain areas on a weekly basis. You can do it just be patient, you didn't put the weight on overnight and it won't come off over night either0 -
I've said this on other posts, but is it possible that you're under-estimating what you're eating?
When I first tried this site, I gave up really quickly because I was eating in my calorie range and wasn't seeing any results.
At the urging of my massage therapist, I gave it another try at the end of July/beginning of August, but I started weighing EVERYTHING.
I was shocked at how badly I was off when I tried to eyeball portions in the past. I've been really successful since I got a food scale (and they're not very expensive at all).0
