My mom gave me a pedometer of sorts for my birthday. she got the new balance via mini that's supposed to track how many calories you've burned, but since it's not an HRM, I know this feature is pretty useless, or at least not super accurate. Still, I am trying to do couch to 5 k starting today and i'd like to use it to estimate how many calories i'll be burning, since i'm starting on day one and will be alternating walking and jogging and MFP doesn't have "alternating walking/jogging" in the database. Unfortunately, i can't find any information on this via mini online and the booklet that came with it is very unhelpful. does anyone have any suggestions???

You could rage the average speed and count the mins, that's what I used to do. Some people track them separately!0
