Hey guys, I just took some photos so i can compare when I have lost weight, I feel really down about them. I feel like it is going to take forever. I look at the photos and I feel disgusted by them.

:(

Put them away! Give yourself a time limit-say two more minutes from now-for feeling bad about them, then shift your attention to what a beautiful day it is to be alive and on this journey of self-discovery and improvement. You are going to learn and change so much, and will come to peace w the guy in the photos. This could be a life-changing adventure for you, inside and out. I'm excited for you, good luck!

And PS, at least one photo-your profile pic-is dashing!

I agree - put them away and get to work on your photo shoot for the "After" pic.s! I will be looking forward to seeing them on here. You can do it!

It's GREAT that you took Before photos. Good planning. Now put them away and go for a walk or your other favorite exercise.

I saw this phrase on somebody's MFP ticker: "Suck It Up, Buttercup." Look, you've made a decision to lose weight, get in shape and have a better life. That's a great first step that a lot of people never take. Begin to live the rest of this new life, one day at a time. You can definitely lose the weight, but it will come off 1-2 pounds a week, not instantly.... but a few pounds a week adds up. I think in terms of "decades," 10 pounds at a time. It's easier that way. You can do this!

you may be bummed now, but think how awesome you will feel in a few months, time to start channeling that feeling now and get going, you can do this! Plenty of people around to help too :)
