So I just got my first period (not the first first) since I started this weight loss, and I am cramping more than I use to and my period is also chunkier?

I usually start super heavy for two days, heavy for one and then light for the last two. But this started light and got heavier.

Is this the result of my eating better and losing 15lbs?

I usually find if I am doing a lot of exercise, it'll be a lot lighter with less cramps. Everyone is different I guess.

My doctor said that weight loss does affect the period, different ways for different women.

Yes, it definitely effects everyone differently. I got mine 2-3 times a yr for 5+ yrs. Now, I'm going on the 5th time in 5 months since I've been dedicated in working out. Hang in there...hopefully it'll get better as time goes on.

    Yes, this ^^

If the change is so great that you have concerns, give your a doctor a call. But it's probably normal.
