I did 50 standing bicep curls and my muscles hurt like hell. It's now the third day and nothing has changed. I can't lift my arms up high, it's too painful.

Have you stretched at all? I find when I am sore, stretching helps to loosen things up. A hot shower and some ibuprofen might help too. Just take it one step at a time when it comes to exercising. If you do too much too soon, you can hurt yourself.0

I haven't lifted weights in a long time and both were only like 5kg each. Thanks i'll go take some ibuprofen. Although I think it hurts because I pushed through the burn I felt just to finish off strong but my form was good. I never substitute quantity over quality!0

Ya, if you do 50 standing curls with 10 pound weights after not having done it "in a long time", you're definitely going to build up some lactic acid. It could easily take 3-5 days for your muscles to heal.
The good news, though, is the more you do it, the quicker you'll heal.0 -

Lol bro not trying to make light of your worry but we've all been there. It's just because you haven't lifted in so long. Wait till the tightness goes away and you'll be surprised how much quicker your body heals the 2nd time into it...Just keep lifting man you wont regret it....atleast not in the long run0
