I found a MUSCLE! :)

I felt some muscle in my body today! I had my hand on my waistish area and bent down sideways to get something and was like "whoa! there's something hard under there!" Then I did it a couple more times just to be sure I wasn't imagining it.
I've lost weight in the past (unhealthily) and once hit a low of 123 lbs, but I never felt any muscles. (I was basically on a starvation/straight alcohol diet and did absolutely NO exercise......the things we do at 18 years, old, huh? ) And no matter my weight, I've always been really jiggly. I hate to imagine what my body fat percentage probably is.
Feeling that hard thing, little as it may be (and still buried under a decent layer of fat), motivated me! I have had operations in the past on one knee and both ankles, so pain has kept me from really working out most of my life, but this time I decided to take it easy, WALK rather than think I can become a marathon runner, and do some light strength training, being sure to take breaks when I'm in pain and really reaally slowly ease into it. And by golly, it's paying off!
Now that I know it's there, I've gotta do all I can to make that little guy grow and multiply!
Have a great healthy weekend everyone!

Glad to hear it! Once you enjoy feeling a tiny muscle you'll want to build up your muscles everywhere, it's infectious. No one wants to be "jiggly skinny," which is what most skinny people actually are. In the past I had always wondered why skinny people didn't have a 6 pack showing or something, but it all has to do with what they've been putting in their body.
Be genetically above average, I wish you luck!0 -
