Honestly, I think you already know the answer to that - no offense. But think about it - do you think you could be healthy and satisfied and fuel your body if you were eating only carrots and apples? Drinking them isn't going to change much.

You would be better off eating a well-balanced diet. There is no reason to deprive yourself - or to break the bank, for that matter. Keep it simple. Eat food. Watch your caloric intake. Move a little. Take your time. It'll come.

That having been said, I would like to have a juicer....lol Just for general juicing purposes, not for "dieting."

Joining this page. Since I just got my new juicer. Fusion Juicer. I want to use this as a supplement or meal replacement mainly for good health not a detox. Just part of a "healthy eating" plan. Any suggestions from you veteran juicers??

I hope you don't mean consuming all your calories in the form of juice.

I have thought about a juicer, but I have been told ( even my Doc.) it is better to eat the vegetables & Fruit. First of all you feel fuller, 2nd, juicing usually uses more of the food to make enough juice to satisfy you. 3rd not sure about this but it seems it would take longer to digest the whole food than it would the juice. which would burn more calories. If anyone can tell me the benefits to Jucing I would appreciate if. I am not against it. I would try it if I knew the benefits.

    I'll wade into this....

Juicing probably is kinda expensive. I'm more of a 'whatever works for you,' kinda guy... and I did straight juice for 10 days, then started adding in salads, nuts, black beans, tuna, etc.... So far, I'm down poundage, and I feel much better. That's what was important to me.

I've also said before, that I found out quickly, that I didn't like the taste of certain vegetables juiced, and stopped using them. Apparently, apple with carrot is supposed to be pretty good.

If you want to 'kickstart' a few lb weight-loss.... you might be able to subsist on Apple / Carrot juice for a few days... but anything more than that, seems a little KraZy.

I'm a big fan of juicing... without any real science to back it up, or anything, just my personal experience. But, I have to acquiesce to the other posters, that this isn't a very solid ( pardon the pun ) plan.

I got a juicer for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. Made a delicious apple, raspberry, strawberry, vodka & carrot juice.

Was that on Joe Cross' breakfast juice menu?
