Myfitness calories burned - how calculated?

I have my Fitbit connected to Myfitnesspal.com. When I look at my exercise, it shows the adjustment for the number of calories my Fitbit says I've burned. My question is, what is the "Myfitness calories" based on? I thought it was BMR, but that doesn't make sense with the numbers they are using.
Thank you,
Bridget

it's based on the information in your "fitness profile". MFP uses a TDEE estimate (that it won't let us adjust to reflect reality, unfortunately) calculated from your height, weight, and "activity levels".0

Thank you for that information.0
