Compression Socks

I am a novice runner and have started getting shin splints the more that I up my training each week. I know what is causing my shin splints and want to get something to help curb the damange that I am getting. I have had a bunch of other runners praise compression socks and thought that I would try them. Here is where I need your help... What brand do I buy? There are only 2 stores located near me that sell compression socks, but they are a little high in cost. I would like to get them at a better price on somethign like amazon, but do not know what to get.

Please let me know what brand has worked for you and or any productive advice for buying them.
