Looking for new fitness friends!

Hi all,

I have been on MFP since February. I've lost 40 lbs through lifting and lots and lots of mountain biking and elliptical. At the beginning of august I was in a horrific bike crash and broke my collarbone, dislocated my shoulder and pretty much road rashed my entire body. I fell on a metal corrugated bridge and needed lots of stitches to repair all the cuts. I can't lift for 2 more months, but have resumed my cardio if only to keep my sanity while I heal. It took me a while to come back to the site after my accident because I was pretty depressed about my immobility and the death of my bike. When I finally logged back on, I found that more than half of my friends are MIA or deleted me in my absence. Please be my friend!

I cannot imagine going through that! I am so sorry you had such a traumatic experience. I am just getting back on here as well. I have never committed to a diet for long, but plan to stick with it this time. You are welcome to add me as a friend. I am not sure how to do that yet, but will figure it out soon! I hope you heal quickly, mentally and physically!

sending FR and so sorry about your accident and the demise of your bike but much more concerned about you. You're a brave gal and you'll get "back in the saddle" so to speak in no time. Sounds like you had a rough one and you sound really grounded! Congrats on taking hold of this and not letting it take you down :flowerforyou:

You can add me. I have been on a long road to recovery and love the idea of mountain biking but for safety and lack of partner for it haven't but am faithful at gym
  • Hey
Glad you are on the road to recovery, I was knocked of my mountain bike twice last year and once this year by a lorry driver. All my weight loss has been through healthy eating and road biking:))

    Feel free to add me.
