Has anyone take Ensure Plus or Ensure Life for meal replacement? I am trying to lose 9 more kg to meet the standard for my height. I am considering taking Ensure to replace my dinner as I tend to eat too much and take in too many calories whenever I am outside. Will it be okay to go for it in long term?

Please advice.

Thank you.

If you see yourself doing it for the rest of your life, sure. Think of it more as a lifestyle change than a diet.

I know I could not replace my dinner with a shake, ever. I eat dinner post workout, so I am hungry. Breakfast or lunch? Sure. I sometimes have a homemade protein shake in lieu of one of those meals. But probably not everyday.

so eat less and learn how to manage food. There's no need to go "Hey, let's just use shakes to lose 9kg now" unless you plan on keeping that mess up forever.

Just be patient. Eat food. Measure/weigh. Be done with it. No sense in doing the shake route.

ETA: also, don't obsess of some standard for your height. I REALLY hate to come off cliche, but perfection and happiness aren't directly related to a number on a scale.

I do meal replacement shakes for breakfast just about every day. For me it's more about the convenience of it - I'm not a big fan of solid food first thing in the morning, nor do I want to take the time to cook an actual breakfast, so it's a good compromise. You can probably make your own (protein powder, fruit, yogurt or milk, etc.) that will be more satisfying than using Ensure.
