Lifting for woman - starter

Hiya,

I started lifting a few months ago, just doing what a personal trainer at a gym told me to do about 3 years ago.

I would love it if you could share with me what you do and your routines.

I'm looking at shoulders, chest, back, legs and abs.

Thanks

    Hi there,
I am just coming to the end of The New Rules of Lifting for Women - Stage 1. I was a complete beginner going into it and have to say I love it!!

    Stage 1 consisted of:

    Barbell Squats
    Barbell Deadlifts
    Seated Rows
    Wide Grip Lat Pull Downs
    Dumbbell Shoulder Press
    Push Ups
    Steps
    Lunges
    Planks or Swiss Ball Crunches

Stage 2, which I start in about a week's time is:
    Bulgarian Split Squat
    Barbell Push/Press
    Cable Wood Chop
    Underhand Lat Pulldown
    Dumbbell Prone Cuban Snatch
    Crunches
    Dumbbell One point row
More push ups and lunges AND then an interval training session at the end of one of the workouts, they are all split into Work Out A and B and in total there are 7 stages!

There is a forum on here all about The New Rules, you should check it out :)

You can download stronglifts 5x5 as a free Pdt. It is written toward men but we have the same muscles and different hormones, so we both look great in our own way.

Or read starting strength. Also written for a male audience. But completely brilliant and detailed. Follow directions and you'll have good form

If you have time to work out longer. New Rules of Lifting for women.

Ive done all of them and presented them in order of my favorites. I do like them all.
