Was wondering if anyone has tried this and what are your thoughts on it? I'm planning on doing it more for the purpose of protecting myself but also interested in the effectiveness of it as a workout. If any one has any other suggestions of similar things please let me know, Thanks

Though I haven't specifically studied Krav Maga, I don't know of any martial art that isn't an effective workout. So check out a variety of martial arts schools in your area and see what appeals to you. Self-defense training should not be limited to techniques from a particular martial art, though. Self-defense should be a no-holds-barred, street-fighting sort of thing. Most martial arts schools, at least where I live, incorporate self-defense training in with the specifics of their chief martial art.0

Krav can be good as long as the school you attend isn't too gimmicky.0
