Milestones

So ... not one for posting new topics but I'n feeling pretty darn' pleased with myself because I've recently passed two big (for me!) milestones.

1. A couple of weeks ago I finally (finally!) dropped under that aspirational 200lbs mark and

2. At the weekend I finally (finally!) dropped under 14 stones - only by a half pound but that's still under.

Kinda dreading weighing myself the week after next as I'm going on holiday with a friend... okay, I'll be avoiding wine as much as possible (gin is SO much better for you!) and we're in the middle of nowhere so NO EXCUSE not to go for a good (slow) run and very long walks, and you really don't have to eat all those chips BUT I'm still dreading the thought of putting even a few pounds back on.

Still ... 40lbs lost since the beginning of this year so I know what goes on can, with a bit of hard work and determination, come right back off again!

Wish me luck

You are doing a fantastic job! Make sure to really celebrate those milestones when you reach them, it's an important part of the journey. Rome wasn't built in a day and the body you want doesn't happen overnight. We're all proud of you keep up the good work!

Thanks very much to both of you - it means a lot! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Congratulations! That is a milestone I cannot wait to reach. I still have a long way to go, but hopefully I'll be posting my own success story a year from now. Also, have FUN on your vacation, you deserve it!! : )

Thanks, Gator! It's very much appreciated. I cannot believe it BUT I've actually enjoyed dieting this time around, because MFP has made it so much easier and controllable. I refuse to lie to myself about what and how much I've eating. It's true what they say... you only lie to yourself!

Just booked Sunday lunch at a restaurant I visited last time I was in Scotland ... unfortunately, they still have Chocolate Crumble Tart with Chantilly Cream on the menu

Good luck with your own efforts too... it can be done - 'cos I did (and am doing) it!
