Bad skin from sweat?

Now that I've increased my exercise load my face has started majorly breaking out, especially on my jaw area.
What can I do to fix this?

Interested in the replies to this. Mine has been a nightmare since starting to run. Also all along my jaw line.

I have that problem too! But on my hairline. :( it helps me if I just wash the area with a teatree oil based face wash every morning and evening, and of course straight after exercising! Joists treat it like you would normal problem skin! But if anyone has a better solution, I also want to hear it, haha. :):)

I use the orange cleaner made my Clean and Clear that has the salicylic acid in it.

    * Try to keep bacteria transference to a minimum.
    * Whilst running :- Keep hair off your face.
    * If you are one who excessively sweats ~ do not wipe your sweaty face with your hands or any bacteria ridden limb or item. Once used ~ dispose. Contamination leads to bad skin.
    * If you experience itching when running (some do) do not scratch it ~ leave it alone.

As others have posted ~ wash.

I had the same problem for the first few months of working out. My solution was to buy some basic face soap and clean up. I even slowed down in doing that after a while, and the problem basically just went away.

At least throw some water on your face after your workout and towel dry, that works for me now that I've been at it for a while.

I've had the same problem! I went to a dermatologist and they told me to take off my make up before working out. Afterwards make sure I clean with a good cleanser.
  • Don't wear make up when working out (if you do already) as it will clog your pores. Whenever i get spots, i put a dab of toothpaste on a piece of paper towel and put it on the spot overnight, dries them right up!
