I've been thinking about juicing to detox my body for 20 days. I would love to hear the pro's and con's.

All you will do is end up dropping a bunch of water weight and then once you're done, gain it back. I also oppose it because its going to cost you a LOT of calories and its a lot of sugar all at once (granted good sugar as opposed to refined). Whole foods/fruits/veggies are better for you and will cost you less. If you cut refined sugar, that will detox you. Read labels on your bread for instance...that can be another huge source of sugar.

I don't have any statistics or research information, but I, personally, love juicing (I don't do it enough, actually). It is highly nutritious = as well as tasty.

I love a combination of carrots, celery, spinach, asparagus, beets, and an apple. So, absolutely delicious and healthy.

it is actually costly. when you juice you have to use a lot of fruits and veggies to make one 8 oz glass. a lot of the nutrients are in the skins and pulp which get left behind. I personally dont think its worth it and you will probably get discouraged when the high sugars in the juice (from fruit) show up on the scale. Also all that fiber from the veggies doesnt end up in the juice but in the little dumping container on the back of the juicer (dont know how else to describe it lol) But if your going for taste....juicers make the best tasting juice.

The advice from my doctor was to eat the fruit as you take a lot of fibre out. High cals too because you can have more.
