Is ChaLEAN Extreme necessary if I have p90x?

I've been strongly considering purchasing the ChaLEAN Extreme program, but I already have p90x, Insanity, TurboFire, and Brazil Butt Lift. I also noticed that Chalene does have some similar moves throughout her programs (like I saw some moves from TurboFire in the ChaLEAN Extreme infomercial). What sold me on the program initially was that it shows you how to use the bands for each move. But I don't want to buy the program if it is going to turn out to be extremely similar to the other Beach Body programs. Thoughts?

I really like ChaLEAN extreme - but I find I get better results with dumbbells than the bands. I have P90x, but I haven't done it yet - that's next on my rotation, so I can't compare them, But I've gotten awesome upper arm/shoulder definitely from CLE!!!0

Chalean Extreme is a good program, pretty similar to P90X but in a less extreme way. I don't mean that CE is easier in a way that it wont give you results like P90X, the workouts gives a good pump and a good sweat. They are just shorter and have a different pace than P90X.
Personnaly i love using dumbells instead of Bands because it give me a better pump and burn, it just that a band give you less tension on the beginning of the move than gradually increase while a weight is always equal all the way through the moves.
If you have never done P90X you can always do the Fit test and see if you are ready for it, be ready for a pretty intense program, 6 days per week, 1hours-1h30 every day but it is a good well balanced program. Chalean Extreme is 5 days per week and workouts are under an hour.
Have you done all the programs that you listed in your post or are you program hopping? You need to find a program that you can stick to until the end and that you will enjoy. That is the best way to stay accountable and get good results.0 -

Thank you for this, it was a great review! I do see your point about using bands vs. weights, and it is definitely something to consider. I have actually used all of my programs listed; and I have completed the course of each of the programs. The only that I have not done to completion is Brazil Butt Lift lol. I currently am program hopping though, as well as training myself for a 5K.
My concern was that the infomercial for ChaLEAN Extreme looked quite similar to TurboFire, but with more strength training. I saw that she had cardio workouts, which looked just like the ones in TurboFire. As for the strength training movements, I don't know if they'd be the same as the ones in TurboFire, and I don't want to purchase the program if they ended up being quite similar.
I'm hoping BeachBody still offers their satisfaction guaranteed with this program if I do decide to purchase it.0 -
CLE is quite different from TF - it's much more focused on weights than the cardio. And the cardio workouts are different. There's a little kickboxing/TF-esque in there, but it's more simple moves and intervals. HTH!0

as other people already said, CLE is definitely focused on resistance training. weight training is 3 times a week, for the type of exercises see the log book http://www.docstoc.com/docs/5106827/ChaLEAN-Workout-Log-Sheets. the other 2 days are cardio/abs and cardio/stretching.0

THANK YOU!!! This is the answer I was looking for! So a few moves are similar, but for the majority of the DVDs, they are completely different than TF. I don't know what HTH is, I'm sorry lol.
Thank you again!
Also, I discovered that she had Burn Circuit 1 on one of her TF DVD's. I browsed through it and definitely see how it's more focused on strength training.0 -
