Hey, I've set up a new profile as I wanted a clean slate. I am now wanting to get in shape for my wedding and would love some friends / support. I am an all or nothing girl so am trying to start gently making more realistic maintainable goals which I can slowly add to. I have a habit of saying "yes today I am going to be good' and this might last 1/2/3/4 weeks but eventually my hormones / emotions get in the way and I decide to try again at some other point. I need to do something about this... so that's my goal =).

Any tips / friends / support very welcome.

Hej, I am also starting over at MFP. It had worked before, then I left because it felt so ridiculous to depend on a virtual community for support. Oh snap, wrong decision. Would like to loose about 10 kg, half of them now for the second time.. Feel free to add me!

Your post sounds exactly like me! I'm trying to get fit for my wedding next Spring. I have a terrible habit of commiting and then quitting. I'm looking to restart and stick to it! I'm on day 3...let's keep going! Add me =)

I'm Lew. Married, dad of two soon to be three... Down 185 in 14 months... Welcome back! I plan to be here logging for the next 50 years! I comment all the time as well.
  • Hey there! My name is Kaysy and I'm also trying to get into better shape for my wedding ceremony in April. (and in general)
At the beginning of this year I used MFP for four months and I lost 30 lbs on 1400-1600 calories a day with exercise for at least an hour 6 days a week and by biking 12 miles a day on the stationary bikes. It got so much easier over the duration of time :)
Well once I got married (the ceremony coming up is so my friends and family can be there, we did a civil wedding very far away because of school) my eating went downhill and I've gained every pound back.
I'm looking to lose at least 30-40 pounds before the wedding because after seeing myself at 30 lbs lighter I was amazed. Having no love handles whatsoever was nice ;)
I'm 19 (I know it sounds young but it's all about maturity)
Today is my first day trying again. Since I'm not able to workout as much as before I'm sticking to 1400 cals on the days I don't go to the gym.
Anyway, it's nice to have friends on here (this is a new account) so if anyone wants a new friend, here I am :D
