Just because i'm 15 calories below my goal i'm told I could be in starvation mode and won't lose the weight i'm expected to by 5 weeks! What the hell i'm confused :-(

Got to make sure your eating enough or your body could retain weight. you might just need to adjust your goals settings.0

I'm assuming that you have your fitness goals at 1200 calories, which is waaay too low! Figure out your TDEE and adjust your goals accordingly.
Personally, I did 1200 for a few months and lost weight....after those few months, however, I stalled out. I've since upped my calories to 1400-1500 and the weight loss started again.0 -
While eating too few calories is definitely not good for you, the "starvation mode" that we've been warned about is a myth

hey, not everyone eating 1200 is eating too little. 1100 is the minimum you need, as an avarage person, in order to suply your body all the nutrients you need and still loose weight. I personally suggest you eat somewhere around 1200-1600, change in up a bit every day or week or whatever you like, but don't go lower. the starvation mode isn't a complete myth tho.. at some point if you eat too little (>1000) and loose too much weight, your body will start eating itself out, which is the "survival mode" you're probably talking about. don't get there! other-ways you'll be just fine0
