My plan before starting MFP

I did MFP a few months ago lost some weight, but then we had a great summer so I was out camping all the time no internet connection:mad: . So I then fell off the wagon. I then started taking a slimming tablet called lotuslite which was raved about on FB, I thought it worked mind over matter I think. Costing £60 for a month’s supply but I was taking 2 of these fresh air tablets twice a day (expensive). Then a friend told me her dad was taking these slimming tablet form a "dealer" which he had lost some weight, straight away please get me some! Then after having a good think I thought what’s in these tablet I’m a going to be hooked (smack head) ill. Told her sorry not for me. Next step after trawling the web slimming world vs. weight watchers which I’ve done both before. I bought a slimming world magazine great success stories but no portion control I would never lose weight with what you can eat on that plan I would stuff my face. So Monday 16th September I thought that's it I’m joining weight watchers, pouring down with rain I got into my car on went to the class, arrived and on the door it says WW cancelled tonight:mad: I was stotting. Drove home ordered a Chinese meal :ohwell: . Hubby says so it looks like next Monday now for you joining, you can stuff your face for another week. After i ate my not so worth it Chinese. I switched my PC on and got straight on MFP. No I won't be joining WW next week I was determined I was starting this week. After reading all the post, topics on this site I’m not joining any club I’m staying right here with all you guys.

Sorry for the long waffle on but I would just like to say a big thank you to all the moderator's and member for the support and motivation MFP gives.

Yay! It's so good to have an 'app' for weight loss, isn't it?

    Good luck! :flowerforyou:

My cousin & another friend of mine joined slimming world & weight watchers respectively , both lost weight initially , then one week would lose but would be back up the next ! Both quit the clubs a few months ago refusing to pay just to be told they put weight on . Meanwhile I had joined mfp , logging daily watching my carbs sugars & calories . The scales didn't move much initially but the NSV were obvious ( tummy shrinking , more energy & dropping 2 dress sizes !!) both of them asked what I was doing & told them about mfp . Seeing my results they both have new motivation and we are all doing it together !!
