Hi. I will be getting one of these in the next few days, and just wanting to avoid getting all confused at getting it set up and starting to use it. Is there anything you wish you would have known before you got yours? Any tips on using it?

Also, never having used one of these before, do you have to take your clothes off to put on the chest strap?

All you need to do is:
    1. Put your stats into the wrist watch (really easy, guides you through it).
    2. Wet the chest strap and put it on.
    3. Start your workout :)

I have the same HRM and I'm really happy with it. It's easy to use and I can't feel the chest strap :)

I got mine about a month ago and ^^ this is all true. Just don't rush through the set-up process. The set-up is simple, but going back in and changing the information is more challenging, in my opinion.

No, you don't have to take your cloths off. I just lift my shirt up to put the chest strap on. Good luck!

The one I'm getting has supposedly been used once. I suppose somebody put in their info, and I will have to remove that somehow.

Yes. You'll need to go to their website for directions. What they provide with the watch is really only for the initial set-up.
  • I used mine for the first time yesterday. I couldn't tell at all that i had it on. It told me that i was using 30% more calories than what MFP estimated. I am bummed that it doesn't synch up to a PC to download all my info.
