Read that.. no need to give up everything and starve to diet.. simply create a deficit from what your body requires and get some exercise in..0 -
Weight loss is cals in vs cals out.
Put less cals in and more out and you will lose weight. Pretty straight forward and easy, everything AFTER that is personal preference and results.0 -

Don't overthink. That will overwhelm you even more. Just do the math and your body will sort itself out. Calories in - calories out = deficit. And you already sound like you have the physical activity down. Just move...on purpose. Then do a little more of that tomorrow. You got this! :flowerforyou:0

Just remember that quitting never works.0

I've been doing this since July 2012. Seems to be working and I'm still motivated. Good luck.0 -

Watch a movie called "Hungry for Change". It's motivated me to lose 21 lbs since mid July. I dropped a bunch of weight last year and lost motivation and this movie got me back on track.
About your eating, don't think of it as "I want it but I can't eat it". Think of it as "I can eat it but I don't want it".
You can see the movie on netflix, it's 90 minutes that will change your life.0 -
Just pick healthy options!!!
Start at your new gym, get them to do you a programme........And bingo!!
Eat lots of veggies, fruit and water!
Good luck!

Go to recipe finders, not to get a shopping list together but to select images and find that food dish. Mine is sun dried tomatoes with aubergine walnuts with black olives on a feta and green leaf salad, a piece of crusty bread and a chilled glass of wine. I taste that and I feel the motivation kick start xxx0 -
With the exception of dealing with health issues like diabetes or food allergies/intolerances, it doesn't make that much difference what plan you follow, as long as it is sustainable and provides the basic nutrients (macros, vitamins, minerals) that you need - food that you generally like to eat and a plan you can follow for the rest of your life. Start with what you are eating now and look for where you can make small changes in either quantity or variety to emphasize nutrient dense foods and limit high calorie/low nutrient items (without necessarily eliminating such enjoyable treats entirely). Exercise just allows you to have more calories in the "bank" and may help you look better through better muscle tone.0
