Breaking Up With Weight Watchers

Greetings, all. I'm giving calorie counting a try after 2 years of failure with the new WW points plus program. On the WW program prior to that, I lost over 30 pounds but I have had no luck with points plus. Just looking for some support and maybe other people who have had the same experience.

  • Welcome to the site.l I used WW prior to points plus and lost a lot of weight. I gained it all back and tried PP but found out I was consuiming the same amount of calories as logging for free on here. Good luck to you and hope you reach your goals
  • My only experience with WW is when my mother projected her dream to be perfect onto the rest of the family. I watched her lose and gain during her WW days. I would say she turned me off to the idea of paying somebody to help me look and feel the way I want to. MFP is free and you can find support here. Jean Nidetch started a support group to help her when she was struggling with dieting and then she figured out a way to profit from people with weight problems creating the WW organ. and she sold her organ. to Heinz. I'm pretty sure there's a place in hell for Mrs Nidetch (she also worked for the IRS).
  • I too am a former WW person, so I feel your pain. I lost 41 lbs with the points program 5 years ago. I have kept most of it off but in the last year, 10 lbs have crept back on. I am trying MFP because my son recommended it. Goood luck to you, I wish you all the best.
