Skinny Fiber Review

I posted this to the skinny fiber website on the 14th of September and it's still sitting there waiting moderation. Apparently they aren't interested in negative reviews of their product. No wonder it's so hard to find them online. Here is what I posted to their site.
I have been taking Skinny Fiber for 5 weeks. If after 5 weeks of using it I only see a drop of 5 pounds and gain 3 of it back again then it’s not going to do anything for me. My daughter lost 11 pounds in the beginning and has gained back 6 of those. No difference in energy levels, no difference in clothing sizes. Just no change other than a couple pounds lost. I drink truck loads of water, I eat all healthy foods 4 to 5 times a day. Everything I’m supposed to do I do and it just isn’t working. The money back guarantee is no good either because it’s been over 30 days. So for my daughter and I it was a complete waste of money. The money back guarantee is no good for anyone because the person you buy it from tells you to not give up that you’re just detoxing still. They make sure you don’t send in a request to get your money returned until after the 30 days is up so there’s no way you can get your money back. I’m extremely disappointed with this product not to mention I’m also out $200.

I'm actually unable to do much more than walk a little each day ndj. I have issues the restrict me greatly from even low impact exercises. Swimming classes are out because they're held in public pools and I'm allergic to chlorine. Ah well such is life I've been using the site here to track what I eat and am keeping to the calories that it's suggesting for me and I'm doing very well since I started that. I did mess up the other night and made shepards pie for supper and went WAY over my calories even with just a small portion size. I'm not beating myself up over it. Just get back on the horse and carry on0 -

Good for you, for posting your review, it will help others who are considering this diet. And it sounds like you are doing just fine. Walking is a highly underrated exercise. You can reach your goals without intense cardio, indeed without any exercise at all. As you probably already know, eat at a calorie deficit for weight loss and exercise for fitness. I'm curious if you've tried a recumbent bike; when I was a my heaviest, (300lbs) I used one, because I was too embarrassed to go to the pool ( not realizing then, of course, that many of the other pool-goers were as big as I was) and I really got some good results with it.
This is what I meant by even low impact exercises I can't do. I have austio arthritis in my hips and DDD in my upper and lower back. There are days I have to walk with one cane and other days I have to use two. The surgeon told me to get one of those 4 wheel walkers to help me walk further. Even though I'm 53 soon to be 54 I didn't want to feel even older buying one of those lol Just sitting on a chair doing leg lifts causes extreme pain right now. I need to work on getting off this weight so I can have surgery to do hip replacements in both my hips. They won't do it until I'm 55 and at least 80 to 100 pounds lighter so I have a year to get it off. I'm hoping that as I lose it I can increase my activity level and help to get it off faster.0 -
There's nothing about that product that makes it seem like it would work.
I'm sorry you wasted your money.0 -

Good luck to you Wendy...i hope everything goes according to plan! There's TONS of good info here though you have to sift through the not so good stuff.
I would recommend that you calculate your TDEE so that you're not undereating.
You can find how to do that here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/975025-in-place-of-a-road-map-short-n-sweet
Or you can use a quickie way (and for some easier) by using this calculator: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/0 -

Okay here's a good one: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets
At any rate, the best calculator is often your own results, if you are happy with your current losses and your deficit is sustainable, you may as well continue what you are doing.0 -
When your credit/debt card is involved, contact your bank and dispute the charge. Because they are considered a high risk business (due to money back guarantee) u will get your money back that way. As long as it is within the Max of 180 days from the date of purchase. Hope that helps.
As I've seen lots of great testimonies and know ppl that have and are currently losing weight on SF, I bought it Thursday. I will be posting my progress on Facebook. You can follow my progress at Facebook.com/ImSooCHI0
