Starting Jillian Michaels workouts

I just completed this Jillian Michaels: Banish Fat Boost Metabolism Complete Workout for the first time and it seriously kicked my butt! I've been going on 3 mile interval walk/jogs every day but this was a whole new world for me. I finished the whole video (with a couple exercises supplemented with some jogging in place) I logged it in as circuit training general and it said I burned around 358 calories. Does this sound accurate? Has anybody else done the Jillian Michaels workouts and, if so, how were your results?

I've been doing her workouts for a few years now and I'm currently on week 2 of Body Revolution. I've done BFBM quite a lot and it does get easier, I promise! The last time I did it I burned just under 500 calories but it'll vary for everyone depending on weight and heart rate.0

Thanks!
I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow, but it's great to hear its working for someone else! And hopefully soon I'll be able to pick up the intensity enough to burn calories like that!0 -
I just started 4 weeks body revolution and Iove it. This is my first week. :sad:0

Yep - circuit workout (most of Jillian's are)

MFP calorie "guesstimates" are pretty high. You might just log 60% or so. Then see how it goes. If you feel tired or worn out ... then you're eating too little.
With all the other cardio you do .... you might want to supplement with a straight up strength training video instead.0 -
I'd recommend her No More Trouble Zones DVD as well which is more strength training, the 2 compliment each other quite nicely!0

Thanks! I'm replacing my runs with this video a couple times a week in order to cope with some seriously cold weather coming this winter, just want to get a new cardio routine going that I can keep doing in the cooler months ahead.

I have been thinking about trying Jillian's Body Transformation, but am concerned that it may be too tough for me. Does it require any extra equipment? I am in the over 40 group, Thanks0

I love her workouts. I've got a few of her DVDs.
"30 Day Shred".
"Extreme Shed & Shred".
"Six Pack Abs".
"Yoga Meltdown".
"No More Trouble Zones".
"Killer Abs".
"Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism".
I think that's all I've got right now. But I love her workouts. The first time I did the Banish Fat one, I only made it about 20 minutes in & had to take a break, but this was over a year ago, when I had just been starting out. Now I can get through it, no problems. I love that workout, even if it is a pain sometimes lol.
I want to get one of her kickboxing DVDs or workouts, as I've been really into kickboxing lately!0 -
