Recipes for easy and low cal wraps please!

Hi! I'm looking to cut some calories from my sack lunches on work days! I was thinking that a wrap would be a good option. Please share your favorite low cal wrap options! I don't eat fish, chicken or turkey, but feel free to share those in case others are looking. Thanks in advance!

When I want to REALLY cut the calories on my wraps.... I skip the tortilla and wrap it in lettuce. SERIOUSLY! You can get that large, leafy green lettuce and it makes an amazing 'tortilla'. Here is a favorite recipe of mine:

1-2 chicken breasts, cut into chunks
    1/2 medium white onion
    1stp garlic powder
    1 tsp olive oil

Directions: fry the chicken in the olive oil with the onion and garlic powder. Add a little taco seasoning to the chicken if you like!! Once it is done cooking, place the chicken on a large piece of leafy green lettuce and top with your favorite low cal toppings. I use light sour cream, low fat cheese, salsa, and red onion!

    I do

    Weightwatchers wrap

    + 1/2 can of tuna
    1 tbsp light salad cream
    spring onion
    cucumber
    cherry tomato
    dash of fresh lemon
    bit of pepper

Come just under 250 cals and I find it quite filling!!

    Ginger-Peanut Chicken Salad Wraps

6 skinned (4-ounce) boned chicken breast halves
    1 tsp olive oil
1 cup chopped seeded peeled cucumber
3/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
    1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger
    3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
    2 tablespoons water
    3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
    4 cups chopped romaine lettuce

8-inch flour tortillas (whatever you like)

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over
medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 5 minutes
on each side or until done. Remove the chicken
from pan; cool. Shred the chicken into bite-size
pieces. Place chicken, cucumber, and bell pepper
in a large bowl; set aside.

Place sugar and the next 6 ingredients (sugar
through garlic) in a blender, and process until
smooth. Add peanut butter and water; process
until smooth, scraping sides. Add peanut butter
mixture to chicken mixture; stir well. Add cilantro,
and toss well. Warm tortillas according to package
directions. Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto
each tortilla; top each serving with 1/2 cup lettuce,
    and roll up.

    Servings: 8

I had a vegie wrap for lunch today and it was good. I spread garlic tahini sauce on a whole wheat tortilla then put on lettuce, tomato, red onion, green bell pepper, cucumber, and avocado. If I didn't have the garlic tahini, I would have used veganaise and added cheese. Sprouts would be good instead of lettuce too. I also had a cup of grapes with it. It was mostly filling, but I will probably need a snack before dinner.

Thanks everyone! These are some great ones to try! I just tried the laughing cow cheese wedges. SO GOOD! The cinnamon cream is amazing on a skinny bagel or some wheat thins! And I used the regular on a whole wheat tortilla with just lettuce and low fat cheese it it was really good too!
  • I forget exactly what its called but the trader joes name brand ones are the best. Its only 5mg of sodium per tortilla. Never seen anything so lean before. Some have 10 but those are corn ones. I think the other ones were whole wheat but I don't remember. But they are small ones and not huge. But still 5 is nothing even if you have more than 1.
