Progress can be seen in so many ways - the number on the scale, how your clothes are fitting, endurance during exercise, confidence in life.

Today I got to experience my progress in a new way. I run my own business from home, making paper flowers. Normally, I take pics of bouquets with my size 4/6 daugther holding the bouquet, but she is away at college. Last year when she was away, I would just skip the pic with someone holding the bouquet, but today I had my son take the pic with me holding the bouquet. What an awesome feeling to feel "good" enough about myself to use a pic of me in my business.

Yes, there is still progress to be made on my body (50lbs) and lots of toning to do, BUT I am *ok* right now.

Totally not a plug for the business, I just felt so great to be able to make this choice and feel good about it! :)

  • Good for you! I was the same, hated how I looked in pictures. But it is nice to see progress and pictures are the best way! keep up the good work.

    Congrats! :)
For my, this week seems to be a wekk of non scale victories. Just today I mamaged to fit in a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in over a year- basicly since I started gaining the additional weight. What is more, I have been up for good 16 hours, spent 7 hours working hard in school and yet I have neither went over my calorie limit or fell asleep. Seems like eating veggies not only makes my look better, but also gives me a whole lot of energy.
    Good luck on your journey.
