1/2 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
1 Cup Dry Oatmeal (you can use whole oat or instant)
6 Scoops of your favorite Protein Powder
5 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup OR Honey*
2 Uncooked Egg Whites
1 6x10 Inch Casserole Dish

In a large bowl mix together the oatmeal and protein powder.

In a separate microwave safe bowl add the light corn syrup to the peanut butter and microwave for 30 - 45 seconds.

Pour the peanut butter, light corn syrup into the oatmeal, protein powder mixture. Add the egg whites and mix together (it is best to use your hands and "kneed" the mixture together).

Spread the finished mixture evenly into casserole dish, cover and refrigerate for about an hour.

Cut into 6 sections, wrap each section in plactic wrap and keep refrigerated until your ready to eat. Thats it!

Here is an approximate nutrition break down, using the ingredients above:

Serving Size: 1 Bar
Servings Per Recipe: 6

Calories: 328

Fat: 13.5 grams
Carbohydrates: 28 grams
Protein: 28 grams

Here are the approximate percentages FAT/CARB/PROTEIN 36/32/32

I recommend these as a meal replacement as the macros are high. Nonetheless delicious and will definetly satisfy your hunger for something sweet and you know excatly whats in them and not wondering what all the garbage ingredients are from the store bought ones! I store in fridge and they will last for week and half covered in a air tight container. Let me know what you think i have few mor concotions for homemade protein shakes and bars.

Can you make these without the egg whites? I am trying to be very careful with my exposure to salmonella and E coli, so the idea of an uncooked egg white scares me!!

Yup no problem the whites are for the ingredients to get "happy" together and helps with the sticky situation. Try spraying pan down with some cooking spray or light coat of e.v.o.o. enjoy. I have a new recipe i just made, its in the oven they will be ready to eat tomorrow. I will post recipe if they were a success.
