Strong legs... flabby torso!

Hi guys and girls! I'm not new to MFP, but I've made multiple accounts with my well-known indecision (I'm going to keep track every day to stay organized! ~~~ I'm going to stop tracking to stop depending on numbers!) It's an on and off thing.
Anyway, I'm having a VERY hard time losing weight in my upper body (stomach, hips, back, and arms). I've lost 25 pounds--and yes, noticeably in the upper body--but it seems that I've come to a deadlock with my body. I'd like to lose another 15 pounds, but that's just a goal. I just want to feel comfortable when I sit down and not have my stomach literally BULGE out of my jeans.
What do you have to say?

Sadly you can't spot reduce! Just keep at your deficit and try to work some strength training in if you're not already doing so (building muscle mass will help you burn more cals and also will give you a nice shape, especially when you lose a few lbs).0

I've lost 25# but still have 15 more to go too
I have a disproportionate amount of weight around my middle but it can only really be seen in a bathing suit. Good thing I'm not an underwear model
About that muffin top that you speak of....I've found that the proper fitting jeans make sure this isn't obvious. I'm short, only 5' tall, so forget the low rise jeans. They make me look like I'm a stuffed sausage...I don't wear high waisted jeans either, but they do hit me at about my belly button.
I also don't wear tops that are super super close fitting. I can wear small t's (in unisex) but the girly ones are just too close to my body & it's just unflattering :blushing: The unisex ones sort have a shirred effect that makes my tummy look flat even though it's not, I sure can fake it well
Keep at it & your torso will eventually reduce, mine has considerably, it's just that this is the last place for my fat to leave it seems.
My legs have gotten trimmer & the cellulite is almost completely gone.
My butt has perched itself nicely at the small of my back instead of sliding down my legs
My back has become more shapely as well, so this helps keep me going.0 -

This. I have a similar problem with my arms, waist, and hips. The weight is coming off my thighs and torso okay, but the arms aren't really changing and the hips just wanna stay. I know it's just the ongoing effort that will fix it, as tough as that is to hear. :flowerforyou:0
