you should be counting fat content as well as calories and try to keep it low to loose weight more effectively. try to get eating healthy again i know its hard and temptation is everywhere. it could also be that your body is used to your workout so you might need to switch it around a bit

I'm really having trouble figuring out exactly what I want to say....

I'm sorry, but there is no way you are burning 1700+ calories a day with exercise according to your diary.

It would be extremely difficult for an athlete to burn 1000 in a few hours of exercise.

Realistically, you are probably burning closer to 600-700 calories in your exercise routine. I'd strongly suggest investing in a HMR with a chest strap for a more accurate calorie estimate.

Now that that is out of the way. I noticed that you are eating nearly none of your exercise calories back. This is putting you in a very high and aggressive deficit everyday. It is not sustainable and you have probably lost a good amount of muscle mass, lowing your metabolism.

There are a lot of people who have done this and have had a very long and frustrating journey to recovery, you can try to use the search feature of the forum to find post from people who are in metabolic recovery and trying to regain the muscle they lost.

Once you want to start losing weight again, please make sure you NET 1500 calories, not just eat 1500 calories no matter how much you work out.

Your post was a little hard for me to follow. So you lost weight and then stopped logging accurately and started gaining? Or have you been eating 1500 calories and burning 1200 for a long period of time without losing?

If it's the first one, stop exercising for two hours a day. It's just not necessary. And start logging everything.

Unless you are eating 1500 calories per day and working out for two hours and possibly burning up to 1200 calories? If those numbers are accurate then you are giving your body 300 calories of fuel to function and that's just not enough. If I were you I'd take a week or two off from exercising or just walk. I would eat about 1800 calories for the entire week or two and put the scale in the garage. Don't weigh yourself. After that, I would take measurements and work out for 30-60 minutes 3-5 times per week and eat the same 1800 calories. Give yourself a month. Check measurements and see what the scale says. If you aren't happy with your progress (weight AND inches) you could drop your calories by 100 calories. Eating more and exercising less might sound strange but what you're doing isn't working and it sounds extreme. A reasonable approach to weight loss and fitness is easier to stick to and more effective *because* you can stick to it. In the time that you've been working yourself to death you could have been making progress by eating reasonably and doing 20 minutes of HIIT twice a week and 30-60 minutes of weights 2-3 times per week.

You must start logging accurately, buy a food scale if you have not already done so. No more quick added calories and no more homemade anything unless it's your own recipe, carefully weighed and measured. It's amazing how much that stuff can trip you up.

As for exercise, as someone already said, get a heart rate monitor. If you get a more accurate estimate of your intake and your calorie burns, you can then choose a sensible, sustainable deficit and the weight will come off.

Your HMR told you that you burned 1700 calories on Sept. 16th? Did you wear it for a couple hours afterwards? Is it the watch type that you tap?

2hrs of cardio is a lot of cardio. You start losing muscle, yor metabolisms slows down and you stop losing weight.

Okay then. It could be that you are overestimating your intake then. Give this a read and see if it could apply to you.

And you could be overestimating from the other side (calorie burns) as well. Try NOT putting in stuff like cooking and cleaning, just log exercise calories burnt from actual exercise routines.

Could be a case of over training and under eating. http://www.shapefit.com/overtraining-exercising-too-much.html

If you can't take in enough calories to keep up with your exercise burn (if that is a true burn), then either cut back on the exercise, or eat more calories.

Be as accurate as possible with your activity level, actual exercise, weighing and measuring and logging food. And if you haven't rerun any of your numbers since losing the initial weight, might be time to give that a shot - likely your needs have changed as your body has changed.

If you want a more accurate picture of your caloric needs and a daily target for cals and macros, check out this topic: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/974888-in-place-of-a-road-map-2k13 It's a long read, but it's great info, and there are links to tools where you can figure your BMR and your TDEE, and really hone in on what the best intake is for you.

    Good luck.

I've got my macros @ 30/30/40 for carbs/protein/fat. If something is not working, you have to keep changing it up to get the results you want. You don't have to workout everyday to lose weight, and you cannot outwork a bad diet. Eating more whole/simple foods high in potassium will yield a better result than eating processed foods just for convenience.

Friend me if you'd like to take a look @ my diary for some ideas & support.
