Kids Nutrition?

My oldest is 13 and she's interested in being a little more healthy. Much like her momma she adores all things cheese, carbs and fried. While I in no way want to promote an unhealthy body image for her or an obsession with caloric intake I do want to encourage her interest in eating a little more healthy. I do share my tips and tricks with her and stock the fridge and pantry with good eats, but I was wondering, since MFP has been such a great tool for me to both find like minded people and be more conscious of how I eat is there a similar resource out there for child that age?

Any help would be appreciated:)

If she's a reader, I think giving her a good book on nutrition for teens is one idea. There's You: The Owner's Manual for Teens which is focused on health and nutrition and overall taking care of your body. http://www.amazon.com/YOU-Owners-Manual-Teens-Healthy/dp/0743292588/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1379685459&sr=1-2&keywords=nutrition+for+teens

If you're okay with her joining a site, she could join http://www.sparkteens.com/ and you could set up her account and make it a nutrition account rather than a diet one. So there's no plan for losing weight but instead an emphasis on knowing what your macros are and tweaking your current eating plan to meet them.

I personally like the book idea best - and it's worked well with my daughter - who's actually chosen to become a vegetarian and has been reading a lot to make sure she's being a healthy vegetarian - because I think (personally) that getting them into the sites can sometimes encourage them (if they don't have a weight issue) to become too obsessed with what they're eating and maybe develop an eating disorder.
