How to celebrate weightloss/ fitness milestones

Hey everyone!

Just curious to see what you all do to celebrate your weight loss/fitness "milestones." What is your FAVORITE thing to do after you beat your last race time or drop another set of pounds?

My plan is to get a sports massage after I complete my first 10k. :]

Another fun thing to do is take a class in something new that you have never done before. I'm thinking of splurging on a yoga or cross fit class.

I will often reward myself with something I thoroughly enjoy - a pedicure or manicure, new shoes! new purse! massage.

Both great ideas - new class or massage - personally I like to shop for new fitness clothes!
  • I set a goal for every 10 lbs lost. My first 10 I got my hair highlighted and cut, My second 10 lbs I have passed but still need to reward myself and I'm actually doing it tonight with a new pair of running shoes. My next goal is to get some new fancy bras (I know TMI). Then the 10 lbs after that will be a new tattoo. :) Yeah for rewards!

I haven't rewarded myself yet but when I hit the 35 lbs lost milestone, I'm buying myself a fitbit zip. At 50 lbs lost, I'm thinking a new super cute workout outfit. Once I hit my goal (between 75-95 lbs lost), I want to get a tattoo of my daughter's name.

I told myself that when I hit 100 pounds that I would get professional wedding photos taken of me in a super amazing gown. Still looking for it now. =)

Different things, depending on what I want at the time. One time, it was a haircut; another time it was a pedicure. Once I meet my next goal, I think I'm going to buy new workout clothes.

When I finally could see real definition in my stomach, I bought my first crop top shirt:)

Soo looking forward to this day! :)

    Current weight - 187lbs
    Under 180lbs - Tregus piercing
Under 170lbs - New snowboard (cause I'll be too light for my old one, hehe!)
Under 160lbs - Book a horseback ride (miss it so much, but it's expensive in Canada)
Under 150lbs (GW) - Buy the nicest pair of knee high boots a I can find for my new super slim calves ;)
Under 140lbs (UGW!) - Spend at least $500 on a new wardrobe - this will be the shopping trip I've been waiting for my whole life!

I have some other mini goals on my profile (like running 5k, 10k etc), but I haven't thought of rewards for all of them yet. LOVE treating myself :)

I got a charm bracelet and charm for my first 10 pounds lost, and have been adding a charm each time I hit another 10 pounds. It's lovely and jangly now, and wearing it gives me a constant reminder of how far I've come and what my goals are - very helpful in combating temptation for me!

This is a particularly cute idea! It's so meaningful and long lasting, I really like that. Congrats on your success, by the way~
