Looking Your Best for a Big Event

Hello everyone! I am a long time reader but first time poster. I have been losing weight over a period of time, with a "goal" of a wedding I am attending in two weeks. I say "goal" because I had that in mind as a mid point, but I would like to keep going with my weight loss.

Up until the event I plan to follow my normal eating and exercise regiment. I am trying to follow 1200 calories per day, working out about five days per week. So far, so good. I don't plan on changing that too much and I am not planning on doing anything extreme (juice cleanse, etc.). However, I was wondering if anyone had any tips for just making sure that I look my total best at the wedding? For example, I have heard that I should avoid salty food and carbonated drinks to avoid bloating. Does any one have any similar tips?

Thanks I look forward to your advice!!

Get a good night's rest, then relax and have fun.

Try a bodywrap. And yes, I am being serious. For something short term, a body wrap does help to shrink your overall body if you're trying to fit into a dress.

I've always wondered if you intentionally lose water weight, then have alcoholic drinks (if one plans to do so--I would,) wont you be more susceptible to a hangover? Doesn't seem worth it to me. lol But yeah, you could try diluted apple cider vinegar drinks, or just coffee... But my guess is no one else will notice these minute changes in your figure, so maybe just stay hydrated and have fun.

I have a first date tonight - the first 'first date' since high school. I would make sure you're getting a lot of water in. Also exercise, great for your complexion - so I'm told. I decided to go to Lush and get some nice body rub and just take the day off to paper myself. Later myself in body cream, shave the legs, burned essential oils. I also got nice underwear - even though no one but myself will be seeing it. Treat yourself like you're a star!! And also don't rush. Having to get ready when you're rushing is the worst! I'd also recommend picking out what you'll wear before hand so you're not stressed about finding the right outfit.

Professionally-done hair, make-up, banging new outfit (with heels) - put your shoulders back, your chin up, look everyone in the eye and smile a lot. And a couple of drinks for the nerves never hurts.

    Enjoy! x
