How good is mushroom for weight loss??

I am almost eating mushroom daily...especially for dinner about 7:00pm I use pepper and salt and some olive oil to season it.... it fills me well...so i take it often
Is that ok? I am not sure of nutritional values of mushroom...I do not know the name of the mushroom i cook...it looks like a round puffy white ball of medium size

most of it passes straight through you :-) There's no special weight loss property other than it is low calorie, high fibre and mainly water.0

if you eat 3000 calories and 10 mushrooms you'll probably gain weight, but it won't be the mushrooms0

It's not exactly a miracle maker.
As long as you're on a calorie deficit, you'll lose weight.0 -
You can eat absolutely anything you want. As long as it fits into your calories for the day, go for it. Like others have said though, measure the amount of oil you use carefully and log it. The mushrooms are low calorie, but the oil isn't!0

You do understand that weight control is all about energy (calorie) manipulation right? If you consume fewer calories than your body needs to maintain weight, you lose...if you consume more energy (calories) than your body needs to maintain itself, then you gain...it has nothing to do with whether it's a mushroom or a piece of cake. Nutrition is a different story...obviously the mushroom has more nutrition than a piece of cake.0 -
Mushrooms go well on sandwiches or on the side of meat, they have low calories and enough flavor to be considered good in your food, but keep in mind they also have hardly any nutritional value, so they are nearly empty calories.
Also what I do to avoid having to use oil with them:
1. Cut off the very end of the stem, its usually dry anyway and clean the more dirty surface with a knife
2. splash them with boiling water
3. Grill or bake them in an oven next to somethingI have one of those toast kind of grills that do it in a minute.
Absolutely no oil, and they taste even better.
For me, I eat them often, but just to make me happier with my diet, not to lose weight or be more healthy, they don't really help that.0 -

Mushrooms not nutritional??? Where do you get that idea? Mushrooms have vitamins, lots of potassium, and phytonutrients. They are one of the only natural sources of vitamin D. Studies have shown they reduce inflammation and they reduce the risk of breast cancer.

the only magical mushrooms are the ones that give you visions....other than that they do not aid weight loss/burn fat...
but if you like them, eat them....
