cal intake?

I am a bit lost on what my cals should be... I have let mfp set them pretty much so far and lost a decent chunk eating 1200 a day but cannot exercise when eating like that...so my questions is if I want to burn fat (22% back to 16-18%) and tone the hell out of everything by running hiit 3 times a week, pilates, weights and spin 2 times a week each burning a total of around 2600 cals, how many cals a day should I be eating? I am more focused on bf and overall fitness and Nsv goals than just weight so I'm a bit baffled... Can anyone suggest a realistic cal intake?

I'm not the most experienced person here, but I believe a 500 cal a day deficit equals 1lb lost a week. Therefore, if you want to lose 1lb a week, take 500 off the maintenance cals of 2600, and eat that. If you want to lose 2lb a week, go down to 1600.

But if you're doing it this way you can't log exercised points.

All I can say is I just posted a similar question. My gym trainers strongly encourage that you enter the exercise on MFP and eat up the allotted new calories to avoid starvation mode (under 1200), but I remain unsure. Wish I could help more but wanted to let you know you're not alone in the confusion.

If you have only 5kg left to lose, your deficit should be no larger than 250 to 300 calories below maintenance. So if you could eat up to 2000 calories to maintain based on present activity level, then you'd eat 1700 or 1750.
