Should I worry about my carb intake

MFP suggests 165g for me but I'm always over my protein and extremely under my fat, I hesitate when I get to around 100g carbs because of all the rumors of low carb diets etc... I'm also sedentary and don't work out so I don't know, should I really just look at my calorie deficit and not worry about the macros?
(This is a really common topic and everyone has different suggestions, feel free to write your own opinions, everyone's answer will most likely be different)

Carbs don't really matter unless you need to stay under a certain amount for whatever reason...
If you're solely looking at weight loss, it's just about calories in vs calories out. Macros are a different story.0 -
I like to keep carbs below 75 grams! For me it eliminates food cravings and hunger pains. Good fat is my friend!0

There's no need to eat low carb for weight loss. It's also good to go over your protein goal. Just make sure you're eating ENOUGH fat. Fat does not make you fat, and eating a very low fat diet can have negative side effects.
Many people do simply count calories and have plenty of success that way, and some eventually work toward tracking their macros carefully. It's really up to you.0 -
Unless you need to for dietertry reason then don't worry about it, make sure you hit your protien and fat and you will be fine. One thing to not protein on MFP is set stupidly low, set it to around 35-40 % of your goals and then the rest will take care of itself.0

this^^
calories are more important than macros.
and eat more fats, your hormone production will be drastically altered if you arent eating fats so...
-you will get mood swings
-your period will become irregular
-you will become tired 24/7
calories in vs calories out.
nothing more but nothing less.0 -
