Hi, So I'm confused about this I went to this site which gives you how many calories you need to Maintain, Fat Loss, Extreme Fat Loss.

Its say I need to eat 2900 calories to maintain..
2345 to fat loss
1760 to extreme fat loss

I don't know how I need to eat 2900 to maintain seems so high?
Also 2345 Seems even higher.

I weigh 220 pounds
5"8

Is this true? and is extreme fat loss right too?

Did you check the scooby calculator mentioned on the Eat more to Weigh less group? There are a ton of videos and posts about it.

OP - what activity level did you choose?
    What is your activity?

thanks I still dont get it.

    My basal rate is 1334

Daily calories to maintain is 2067 (If I ate that much each day I am sure I would gain)

Daily calories based on goal is 1964.

    What is TDEE?

    What is TDEE?

TDEE is total daily energy expenditure. It is what you need every day - if you eat this number you will neither gain or lose. In other words - maintence. So your TDEE is 2067.

If you use the TDEE method you subtract 10-20% off of that number.

So 10% would mean I would eat about 200 or so calories less, or about 400 less for 20% (my math is a little rusty...lol)

So about 1600 calories a day to lose???? i dont even eat that much right now and I seesaw back and forth.

    Yes.

Bear in mind this is meant to be a starting point. It is an estimate, not the be all end all number. There are a number of variables that affect it, most importantly how carefully you track food.
But if you are eating far below to lose there may be an issue.
I strongly suggest you check out the Eat More to Lose group. If you click the link above it takes you to the group. On the main page there are a ton of stickies.
