Ladies.. weighing during period?

Started my journey of weight loss and a healthy lifestyle 2 weeks ago. As of Saturday I have lost 6lbs.. most of which I'm sure was water weight. I started my monthly last night and also started my exercise routine today. I went to the gym at 5:30 this morning and did 45 minutes on the stationary bike. When I came home my alarm went off to remind me that it is weigh in day. Still haven't ate a single bite of food and drank only one bottle of water and the scale was up 2lbs! I am only trying to weigh myself every 2 weeks so I don't get discouraged as I know weight fluctuates often. Should I chalk it up to water weight or because im bloated? im only eating 1500 calories a day which is 100 less then my TDEE-%20 and im not eating exercise calories back.

  • I always weigh myself first thing in the morning, naked, after using the restroom. Your weight can flucuate throughout the day.

    Don't be discouraged, I was gain a bit in water weight when it's that time of the month!

    I stay away from the scales that week... I keep doing what i'm doing as far as my diet but water weight is a discouragement for sure! I skip the week and then when i way in the next week i am excited with the 2 weeks worth of weight loss shows up on the scale:bigsmile:
