Citrimax & Green Coffee Bean Extract?

Hi, all. I'll try to keep this short. My neighbor has been losing weight without exercising by taking a combination Citrimax (1000g) and Green Coffee Bean Extract once a day.
My sister-in-law and hubby teamed together to buy me one of the best elliptical machines out there and I did my first "workout" today (only lasted 5 mins...I'm very fat ok? lol)
I was wondering if anyone on here has taken any/or/both of these supplements and if so, what were the results?
I have hypothyroidism and I've gone through a couple of doctors with no cure..one of them actually gave up and told me to go to Brazil for surgery. So, aside from natural ways to increase my metabolism, do you believe these two are beneficial?
I'm 5'10 weighing 375lbs. I'm not looking for an easy way out and I'm aware I have a long road ahead of me. I'm just dipping my toes in the water (so to speak) in regards to supplements.
My supplements are basically juicing vegetables, B12 vitamins, fish oil, and One a Day vitamins.
Just wanting some opinions.
Thanks for reading this and constructive feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome!
I'm not one to believe in any magical supplements to lose weight. While I don't know anything about the supplements you mention, I do know that they will not help you lose weight. The only things that help are healthy eating with a calorie deficit and exercising. In fact, the big secret to weight loss is to burn more calories than you consume.
I love the elliptical! I'm jealous you have one in your home.
Have you used any of the tools here at MFP? Are you logging food and exercise?0 -

First of all....I have no experience with Citrimax or Green Coffee Bean Extract but anything endorsed by Dr. Oz automatically gets a no go from me.
Second....get a new doctor. Look for a reputable endocrinologist and get your levels under control. I have hypo due to Hashimoto's. Have you had your levels checked recently? Are you on thyroid replacement? If you are on thyroid meds, make sure you take them by themselves on an empty stomach.
Oh, and congrats on your first workout! Keep it up!0 -
Keep working out and log all the calories you take in ... You need to change your life, baby step by baby step, tablets aren't going to do that for you. You'll probably lose weight at first, but when you go back to your regular diet ( the one where you ended up being 375lbs on) you are highly likely to gain it all back. Good luck.0

Those things you are taking are not helping you lose weight or increasing your metabolism.0

I just started this profile a short while ago. I thought I should ask for the opinion of others since it's been working for my neighbor. But I think the natural way is the best route. Just eat right and workout! Thanks so much0 -

Thanks! I've never watched Dr. Oz but thanks for the heads up!
I haven't been do a doctor lately. I honestly haven't had the money for it.0 -

I'm not taking them. My neighbor is. I'm taking vitamins and juicing. Just wanted to see if anyone else has taken these and had results.
Not looking for a miracle cure lol0 -
They don't help anyone. There is never any science backing them and the only thing that gets lighter is your wallet.0

Only thing its doing is giving you expensive urine, it does not have any effect on weight loss, your neighbours just happen to be have more cals out than In and taking that crap at the same time, save your money.0

It works for some and not for others. I lost 13 lbs the first week on just the coffee bean extract so I was thrilled! I also ate a healthy diet.
I am going through menopause and have had a really hard time losing weight so this really helped me to get motivated and stick to it.
The second week I lost nothing but didn't expect to either after such a big loss. Third week I lost 2 lbs which is what I am aiming for every week.
I am not taking it this week to see what happens without it as I don't plan on staying on it. All I wanted is a kick starter and I got it!
For some of you to say it doesn't work? Have you tried it? If you haven't then you don't know do you! I suggest if you don't know for sure then don't act like you do.. It helped get my metabolism going that's for sure!0
