will paste part of story below but, I wonder. Does this now mean he can throw the ref the middle finger without getting fined?

There are injuries every week in the NFL, and sometimes the broken bones and torn ligaments become a blur.
But Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson had one that’s hard to forget. According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Johnson lost the top of his left middle finger during yesterday’s loss to the Saints. And put your breakfast down for a second, because the injury was discovered when he took off his glove — and the finger was still in it.

I was drinking in the car today when my local sports show was talking about this. I almost passed an entire big gulp through my nose from his description. Just call him Stumpy from now on.
