Advices on Calories intake and weight loss

Will eating not enough calories makes you gain weight? I have done a experiment for the past 4 days. I realised that I can lose weight whenever I consume 1300+ calories daily and gain weight if I eat lesser.

I thought eating lesser will lose weight. Is there any exercise that is not too intense for Asthma patient and will cause muscle gain too? Please give advice.

Can you gain fat... no, but can you gain weight.. yes. When you under eating, your body has a famine response. Essentially, you have hormones such as cortisol that work to preserve your organs and lean body mass by storing water. Additionally, long term under eating will cause your resting metabolic rate to adapt and become more efficient. When you eat enough calories and minimize the deficit, you minimize the stress hormones release which your body will allow you to lose weight without storing loads of water. This is probably why you saw the results you are speaking of.

Here is a good article. Essentially, fuel your body and your workouts. There is no reason to be overly aggressive with your weight loss. When you do, it leads to plateaus and increases muscle loss which makes a weight loss journey longer. Look for fat loss not weight loss.

Under eating can stall weight loss, yes.

As far as exercises that build muscle, I don't have asthma, so don't take any of this as direct advice for asthma, but I would think most any strength training that isn't high intensity interval stuff would be okay. Weight lifting, yoga, Pilates, low impact dance-based workout DVDs like Ballerobica or Barre (not the barre class, mind you) would work okay. But really, you should probably ask your doctor.
