My average BMR is 1,550. Do I EAT or NET that?
I hear so many different answers from people who are each so sure. I need to know once and for all which it is so I can finally move on in my weight loss journey.

Neither. You should be eating, netting whatever over your BMR. Your BMR is the amount your body needs to survive in a coma. I assume you are not in a coma.0

Gah Im so confused. My BMR is 1,500 but my MFP goal says it's 1,290. Then I exercise and burn around 300 so Im netting really low. I'm so confused.0

Google TDEE and go from there! BMR is what YOUR body needs to function. You should be eating well over that if you exercise!0

Neither.
BMR is a component of TDEE - intake is (or should be) defined relative to TDEE, not BMR.
BMR -> what your body burns if you have coma-like activity level
TDEE -> BMR + normal daily activity + exercise0 -

This is a link to a spreadsheet that a MFP member named heybales did. You may find it helpful to use.0
