Hello

Hi all,

Just started today and so far so good.. I have been on diets and back off again for many years with the only thing I lost was motivation. I want to do this properly this time as i'm a all or nothing kinda person (do not eat enough or I eat way tooooo much) struggling to find a balance.. A healthy balance!

My goal as of today is to just focus on having 3 meals a day and better choices for snacks.
Also going to drink more water and bring in some exercise to help me on my way.
Pretty sure my calories will level out so I will not be hard on myself if I get it wrong by being a little higher or lower on some days as finding what works is not that easy for me.

Anyways... I wish everyone luck and pretty sure il be in and out the forums as i've a long way to go.

So thats a little about me.. Would like to hear from anyone (whether you have been here a while or it's early days) on what works/working for you.

  • Hi there and welcome to MFP. I am Anita and you are welcome to friend me if you need some motivation. I keep my diary open so everyone can see my good and bad days. I think its important to see what is working for eachother. I log on daily so I am always around.

    I can attest to the fact that MFP works... so long as you stick with it. I fell off the wagon, and am just now getting back into the swing of things. I've already started to lose again, and am excited to see what each new day brings :)

It is important what you say about bringing in exercise because it helps a lot. But find your own level of exercise, you can not run the marathon before you can walk.

    I am Tricia and I started Sept 1 and already seeing some good results :) I have logged in everyday as I believe that consistency is key!! Feel free to friend me as one can never have enough support or motivators in their corner :)

    Welcome to MFP. This is a great site. Friendly folks willing to help/assist as they can. It has helped me tremedously. You need to stick with and be committed to be able to reach whatever goal you set. It is a lifestyle change but one that is for the better.
    I am friends with cynthiapick and as she mentioned you cannot run a marthon until you walk. I log on daily and if you wish to add me as a friend feel free.

    Keep trying WW but fail miserably

    Exercise 3 - 4 times a week spin classes

    Not sure I eat enough but do enjoy a vino or 2 at weekends (my downfall) although still eat relatively ok

    Great to speak to like for like people
