How much fat do you eat?

I was wondering how much fat everyone eats in their diet?

I find that as I up my protein my fat naturally increases with it (eggs mainly)

Currently I am set at 80g of fat and 124g of protein.

How much do you guys eat?

Depends. Some days it's 120 and other days it can be 130. But I'm also eating keto style, so the more fat, the better.

My settings are the default settings supplied with MFP. 56 Fat and 63 Protein

I seldom go over on fat (but I get close most of the time) and frequently go over on protein
  • 47g fat, 75g protein

I base my macros on the amount of carbs I'm comfortable eating (which is 120g) and then try to balance the other two. I make sure my protein isn't too high because as much as I love my fish and chicken, god knows I can't indulge in these two because until I get a job I can't afford it.

Usually between 30-50g of fat, and sometimes I go over. A lot of the time my fat will come from eggs, peanut butter etc.

You have to be careful as to what kind of fat to eat. Since the body needs fat one should eat healthy fats such as extra virgin olive oil. avocados, flax seeds, and other nuts and seeds. I restrict saturated fat (fat in animal products such as red meat and dairy) to10 grams a day, but I do not count how much healthy fat I eat.

i'm at 48 grams of fat, and 109 grams of protein (my macros for protein fat and carbs are set at 33% each, or close to).

I often go over my fat grams, with most of it coming from protein sources like eggs, peanut butter, fish like salmon or arctic char. I often wonder how much I should worry about this. i find it really challenging.

    Carbs 160 / Fat 53 / Protein 120.

I think I have my macros set to 40/30/30.

But out of the past 10 days, I've only eaten over that about 2 times.

I have my macros set to 45% carbs 25% protein and 30% fat. I'm happy if I exceed my fat % and track both Fat and Sat fat which I try to keep about 20g per day.

I'm doing keto, so my macros are set at 70% fat, 20% protein and 10% carbs. It depends on your health/weight loss goals.

I aim for mostly fat in my diet, second protein, and way back in third carbs. My gram settings for fat and protein are about the same, which still means I get most of my calories from fat.

My daily goal is 191g carb/ 144g protein/ 63g fat (1900 cals per day). I routinely go over on fat and under on carb and/or protein (thanks to my peanut butter addiction). I would much rather exceed my protein and fat targets than my carb target.

Yeah I have a low cab, im aiming for 100g a day the rest being fat and protein.

I'm supposed to be around 55 grams of fat a day, but I always end up eating more because fat is delicious. ._.

Sometimes I think I've got something really low-fat. Then I post it, look at the numbers, and want to cry....

on average I get around 28g of fat a day, and 62 g of protein ( female 5'5" 135 lbs)

if you are getting your protein from animal sources the fat and cholesterol and trans fat will increase. even lean chicken is 20% of calories from fat or more.

If you want the protein without the fat and cholesterol beans and legumes are great for protein and minimal fat.

    Mine are set at

    Protein 125.00 500.00 32%
    Fat 43.75 393.75 25%
    Carbs 163.75 654.98 42%

First number is grams, 2nd is calories, 3rd is percentage.

If I go over on my protien and fat I don't really care as long as I stay under my calories.

MFP set target to 68 but most times I don't even reach half of that. It's not intentional, being vegan, dietary cholesterol and the majority of high fat foods are just not in the picture for me. The only time I struggle to hit protein is on intense workout days where my appetite is slayed because of the extra activity. I'm not sure I'm at a point right now where not hitting my fat target is an issue, but I'm sure I'll re-evaluate and add more avocado, healthy oils and nut butters closer to goal...
