I am pushing myself in all aspects of my exercise.....and my body is tired. I worked out BODYPUMP hard yesterday and increased my weight amounts. But now I'm dragging and need to go for a long walk.
I'm not cutting my calories any more and I always get plenty of protein......

What are ya'll hard core exercisers doing to keep the exercise training going? I have mental motivation....but my body is just sluggish so much more than it used to be!!!:grumble:

Any suggestions are appreciated!:flowerforyou:

Make sure you're eating before your workouts. . .and, if you're not. . .make sure you take a day off (or at least a very light exercise day) every once in a while. You could be overtraining.:flowerforyou:

I work out early in the morning, so I have to get protein and carbs that digest easily. I eat 1 Tbsp. of p-butter and 1 small banana before my workout, the carbs give me the early boost and the p-butter comes in later and gives me energy for the end. I like that you had a hard day yesterday, and that you are walking today. Listen to your favorite tunes while you walk and boost your mood. Keep it up!!! and good luck!!!

Also, to make sure your body isn't eating those awesome guns your creating, have a protein shake within an hour of working out. It should help with the sluggishness...but vivakay has a point. You may be over training.

I have just started taking spin classes and I never realized how awesome they are. It's an hour of intense cardio and it really works your core. It"s low impact but you walk away each time thinking you"ve really accomplished something, and that gets the motivation up too. Plus it"s nice to have a good instructor because they go through streches, play great music, and act as a motivator.

check out FRS.com I've tried it and it helps, but I'm not much of a supplement taker. My sister swears by it. I only take it before big runs, but she takes it everyday just to get through the afternoon lull.
