Hello, I'm new to MFP, I'm a little confused. Am I supposed to consume all the allowed calories daily or is that just a goal not to go over. Based on my info and MFP, I'm allowed 2070 calories per day. My first day, I only consumed about half that. Good or bad??

Eat very close to your goal. Only eating half of your goal is bad. MFP builds in a deficit to the total it gives you, so if you are eating all the calories allotted, you are still eating less than maintenance. Eating even less, or exercising and not eating extra to account for the extra calories burned, can push your deficit too large. If you maintain too large a deficit for too long, this can lead to health issues, metabolic slowing (adaptive thermogenesis) and large loss of lean body mass rather than fat.0
