i was thinking about buying some gym equipment for my house so i can work out indoors inside in the winter.i was going to get a treadmill but im not sure what other ones that would be good. i want to build a butt because it is soooooooooooooooooooooo flat and disgusting so a machine for that and one to tone and lose fat in my arms? or one that does it all? any suggestions? thank you

  • I don't really know about machines to help form your butt, but you should get an elliptical trainer over a treadmill. You burn more calories and it's safer because it's less stressful on your joints

    Bodylastics

They have free live exercise and archived exercise sessions using them.

It's not hype at all. I have been using them. Look up the reviews on amazon. It was the demo they have on muscleandfitness.com that made me decide on them.

I definatly recommend and elliptical over a tredmill!! Its way easier on your joints and depending on the one you get has many different choices of areas you want to excersize. I have an elliptical and would NEVER trade it for any other kinda excersize equiptment! Hope you find/get what your looking for!

I finally tried an eliptical the other day. As I was falling forward (lost my balance) one of the handle things came up and hit me in the face, and I rolled my ankle as I tried to step off of it... It was a disaster...

I have an Elliptical, and love it! less stress on the joints, as sleepwalker stated, mine also has 3 incline levels, and 14 programable workouts to maximize workouts in specific areas like quads and glutes, also has 10 intensity levels...Great workout for you rear. :o) and great cardio. Also works your arms with moving handles or stationary ones if you don't want to move your arms. :o)

i would totally get an elliptical, not a treadmilll. .... you basically do what a tread mill does everyday by just walking around. ellipticals ( some can move your arms, others dont) do more than just your average oh im walking around kind of deal. they work you a lot more in different areas that you dont normally use all dayyy.
