What kind of strength training routine did you start with or do you follow now? I want to do much more than cardio, but I am having a hard time developing a schedule/routine, since I don't know what exercises I should be doing to build muscle, how often, or in what combinations.

I started with Stronglifts 5X5. I love it and continue to do it today.0

A lot of people swear by the 5x5 Stronglifts. Google it. Seems pretty decent.0

Check out FitnessBlender.com, they have strength workouts for heavy weights, light weights and body weight. Also check out the book, The New Rules of Lifting for Woments. Both are good starts. I've compiled a few fitnessblender workouts for my strength routine.0

I'm also doing New Rules of Lifting for Women and LOVE it. I did Starting Strength before that, which is also a good one but was just a little too monotonous for me.0

These groups are great for getting started and even better once you get started. There are some smart people in the eat-train-progress group and tons of great information.0
