Homemade Yogurt Using Almond Milk?

I have a friend who makes her own yogurtj using her crockpot. It's cheaper to make it and it contains a lot less sugar than the packaged varieties. I would like to try making it using almond milk. Has anyone tried it with almond milk?

I made it once and it didn't thicken but I have read recipes to make it and they say it works. may just be the starter you use. Also, I know some places tell you to add cornstarch, agar agar, etc.
I'm currently trying to make yogurt with Rice & Quinoa Dreamblends milk. Do you think this will thicken?0 -

I loooove yogurt, but dairy is not my friend. I never even knew almond milk yogurt existed!!
I will definitely be making a batch this weekend. I also found a version that uses (canned) coconut milk too!
